Best Student Trips On a Budget

Naples, Italy

Although Italy is the last on this list of affordable travel destinations for students with an amazing opportunity for adventure, it is by no means the least amazing. Naples is one of the oldest European cities and has a culture beloved by thousands of tourists every year. Furthermore, Italy is home to the infamous town Pompeii, close to the modern Naples, which is immortalized in time and ash from the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Other phenomenal cultural sights and monuments providing insight into the lives of locals and their traditions include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, the city of Verona, and the Amalfi Coast. Italian architecture is impeccable as the buildings have aged well and presented unique structures uncommon to Western civilization.

Besides all of the cultural sites, no one can forget the deliciousness of Italian food, including gelato, pasta, wine, and of course, pizza. UNESCO has even recognized Italy's Neapolitan pizza spinning as a protected heritage trade! Just another reason to eat some pizza after trying out this wonderful activity.

Ready to travel yet? We wouldn’t blame you at all. Let’s go!
