In a small upstairs room at the Auberge Ravoux in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, Vincent van Gogh spent the final weeks of his life, painting some of his most famous works—including “Wheatfield with Crows” and “The Church at Auvers.” It was here that, after struggling with mental illness, he tragically took his own life in July 1890. The simple room remains untouched, preserved exactly as it was, with peeling wallpaper and a single wooden chair, offering a haunting reminder of one of art’s greatest geniuses.
