Located on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville, Thompson-Boling Arena is a powerhouse of Southeastern Conference (SEC) basketball. Opened in 1987 and recently modernized, it seats over 21,000 fans, making it one of the largest college basketball arenas in the U.S. Home to both the Volunteers men’s and Lady Vols women’s teams—one of the most decorated in NCAA history—it radiates school spirit and sports heritage. The orange-and-white stands erupt during home games, especially against longtime SEC rivals. With views of the Tennessee River just outside, it’s a fortress of tradition in the Volunteer State.
