Designed in the 1930s to resemble an ocean liner, this stunning Art Deco hotel stands near the French-Spanish border, connected to the Cerbère railway station. It catered to travelers during the golden age of rail. While parts of the building have been converted into apartments and are meticulously preserved (including a period-perfect lobby and cinema), other sections fell into disuse and retain an air of abandoned elegance. Its unique ship-like architecture, historical significance as a border hotel, and state of partial preservation make it a fascinating blend of living history and forgotten grandeur.
