33. Clovelly, England: A Timeless Coastal Descent

Journey back in time in Clovelly, a privately-owned fishing village in Devon, clinging to a steep cliffside. Its impossibly picturesque, car-free cobbled main street tumbles down to a tiny ancient harbour. Goods are still transported by sledge, and donkeys once carried visitors (now they enjoy a leisurely retirement nearby). Whitewashed cottages adorned with vibrant flowers complete the scene. The sheer uniqueness of its geography and its dedication to preserving its historic charm make Clovelly feel like you've stepped into a beautifully preserved illustration from a classic English tale.
