While Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is Bangkok's main hub, the older Don Mueang airport holds a quirky distinction: it has an 18-hole golf course sandwiched right between its two active runways! The Kantarat Golf Course, owned by the Royal Thai Air Force, offers golfers the unique (and potentially noisy) experience of teeing off while jumbo jets take off and land just yards away. It’s a bizarre but functional piece of airport design you won't find anywhere else, making for a truly unusual layover activity.
