Often dubbed the “most alien place on Earth,” Socotra is an isolated Yemeni island in the Arabian Sea that feels like it belongs to another planet. Its bizarre dragon’s blood trees, bulbous bottle trees, and endemic plant species give the landscape a surreal, dreamlike quality. Beaches like Qalansiyah are untouched and shockingly beautiful, and the Diksam Plateau offers rugged limestone cliffs and sweeping canyons.
