16. Popeye Village, Malta: Sweethaven Lives On

For the 1980 musical "Popeye" starring Robin Williams, an elaborate village called Sweethaven was constructed in Malta's Anchor Bay. With its whimsical, crooked houses and seaside charm, the massive set was too good to dismantle. After filming, it was converted into a popular family tourist attraction.
