For those who crave the awe-inspiring beauty of the Arctic, Ilulissat in Greenland is a must-visit cruise destination. This small town, located on the edge of Disko Bay, is famous for its massive icebergs, which break off from the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord and float majestically through the surrounding waters. Unlike more well-known Arctic destinations such as Iceland, Ilulissat remains peaceful and unspoiled by mass tourism. Visitors can take boat tours through the icefjord, getting up close to towering ice formations that constantly change in shape and size.
