In 2018, The Game—college football’s oldest rivalry—relocated from its traditional Ivy turf to Fenway Park, and something transcendent happened. Suddenly, America’s oldest sport was staged inside America’s oldest baseball stadium. Ivy League grit met Green Monster grandeur. Though neither team was vying for a playoff spot, the atmosphere was electric: tweed jackets mixed with bleacher brawlers, tradition collided with nostalgia. For one day, the venue outshone the rivalry. It was proof that sometimes, when history shifts location, the result is nothing short of mythic. The teams rotated, but Fenway stole the show.
