The Middle East is famous for its stunning temples and their colourful ceilings. Mohammad Domiri from Mazandaran, Iran, dedicates himself to researching and photographing the famous architecture of his home country. His pictures are not just beautiful but also rare; these temples are usually busy with worshippers and permission to photograph these temples is highly restricted. Here are 10 of Domiri's photos that capture wonders of the modern world.
Nasir Al-Mulk Mosque

Mohammad says that Iran has many historical sites, but some of the greatest are the mosques. This kaleidoscope-like photo of the Nasir Al-Mulk Mosque was captured through a fisheye lens.
Amongst Domiri's most notable techniques are his panorama pictures; above is a superb image of the perfect forms on the ceiling at Dolat Abad in Yazd.

The photographer spends hours researching his locations and has developed uniquetechniques for different kinds of shots to accurately represent each place's essential beauty, such as this scene from Seyyed Mosque.

It would take a person hours to admire each detail from a place as elaborate as Chehel Sotoun in Isfahan. Thanks to Mohammad, there is no rush to do so.

Mohammad's techniques make some of these pictures look like a dream, as is the case with this shot from Vakil Mosque. He claims that it is important to preserve them on film now as we do not know if they will still be there in a few years.
